According to the VT Tramway Reports, the area had a 400' rope tow, and operated from sometime in the 1960's-around 1972. Wilson at the Hinesburg Town Hall, the rope tow was run by a 1948 or 1949 car engine and was located on land owned by five families. The area is located on a private road off Mechanicville Road. The tow was located behind the houses in the northern part of the photo.
