Prospect was one of those last areas that had no chairlifts that managed to survive into the 1990's. Located in Woodford, VT, at a very high base elevation of over 2200', this area relied on natural snow. Prospect opened in 1939 with a rope tow, but took until 1960 before a much longer T-bar was installed to the summit.
