This ski area was operated by the Williams College and operated until the late 1950's. The tow was fairly long at 1200 feet. 1939 (Ski Guide to the Northeast) One of the best slopes in the Berkshires, Sheep Hill has a length of 1200 feet and grades up to 30 degrees. A leap of 100 feet or more will be possible on the improved Williams Outing Club Jump. Here's a picture of the rope tow at Sheep Hill (photo provided by the New England Ski Museum ).
