Thanks to George Abbott, we now know of this private area that operated in Grafton. Here are his details: One ski area in Grafton was owned by Tom Chase and was in his backyard off George Hill Road. Tom had been a member of the Dartmouth ski team and had put the tow up to teach his daughters to ski. He also taught some of the local kids and was the one who taught my older son to ski. this would have been in the late 50s.
