Thanks to Joe May , we first heard this ski areas that operated in Sherman. Here are his details: There is a large real estate sub division in the south part of Sherman. It was quite elegant in its day and had a small ski hill, horse back riding, red clay tennis courts, and other niceties. He was the announcer and straight man for Gary Moore in the early days of TV.
